Anissa McLendon - Anissa is a Chapel Hill Native. She is educated by the way of Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a small child - she would tutor my friends. Anissa have worked in the education field over 20 years. Her main goal with E3 Camp is to expand knowledge to African-Amercian youth in the Art and STEM fields.
Sheerese Alston - "Reesy" was born and raised here in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area. She is the Director of the After-School Program at Northside Elementary. Ressy spend a lot of her time volunteering in the community where she is needed. She enjoys helping E3 campers explore and find an interest in S.T.E.M that could lead to a career.
Andrea Foushee - Andrea Foushee is a native of Carrboro, North Carolina. Andrea graduated Livingstone College in 1990 with BA degree in Psychology. She is employed by Seniors Helping Seniors. Andrea has worked in the Human Service field most of her career empowering and servicing families.
Pamela Rich - Pamela Rich finds joy in helping others to succeed. She is retired native Durhamite and a graduate of UNC-Greensboro.
Paulette Williams Scott - Paulette is a retired NC certified teacher (ELA and Social Studies). She graduated for UNC Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Intermediate Education. Paulette is a Native of Hickory, NC. She consider her goal on the board to give back to education what it gave to her - a love for learning.
Tara Stephenson - Tara Stephenson is a Triangle native who went to undergrad in the beautiful town of Boone. She later went to graduate school at Meredith while married and working full-time. Tara has been a Finance and Operations Associate at Inter-Faith Council for Social Service, Inc. for the past five years. Prior to that, she spent 11 years in diverse positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and 7 years in various positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida. She spent another 7 years as the Assistant Manager at an ocean front condominium building at Myrtle Beach, SC before returning home. She and her husband are the proud parents of 2 fur babies, otherwise known as Schnoodles.
Linda Vann-Smith - Linda Vann Smith has been an educator for the past 23 years with Durham Public Schools as well as the Chapel Hill/Carrboro City school systems combined. She is also the founder and CEO of The Vann Group, LLC, a business which promotes and enhances the intellectual and cultural aspects of scholarly growth by serving school districts with student-athletes to successfully mentor, focusing on their social and emotional well-being. They are also committed to helping scholars develop a positive self-image by surrounding them with community professionals and entrepreneurs who will bring forth their own “mantras” for success. She is currently the chairwoman of the Business Alliance for Career Development for the Lakewood School in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Community Engagement Coordinator. Linda Vann-Smith is a 1984 and 2013 graduate of North Carolina Central University, with an undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Science, 6-12.
Arthur ‘Joey’ Raines II - Joey is an educator and community member in his native town of Chapel Hill currently working in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district since 2019 with aspirations of making a positive impact on his community. Joey Completed his undergraduate studies at Methodist University in 2018 as well as his Masters in Business Administration from Eastern University in 2022. He is passionate about work involving the student achievement and opportunity gap in the school district he was raised in and strives to create opportunities for the next generation of young minds.
Latoya Williams-Clark - Latoya was born and raised in the Chapel Hill area. She received her BA of Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She has been employed with the Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools since 1996. She currently works as an Instructional Facilitator in one of the middle schools. Latoya is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts USA. She currently serves in various volunteer roles for Girl Scouts-North Carolina Coastal Pines as well as her local chapter. Her goal is to expose students to the growing and changing world around them, while encouraging students of color to love themselves. Latoya's goal of each and every day is to be an unwavering moral compass.
